My brother and I were lucky in that respect - we had all the usual christian stuff, from the primary schools (most of which were C of E) and at home we were introduced to everything else. An upbringing where only one stance is ever talked about or put across, is sure to lead to disinterest in the wider world (just look at the creationist mom I quoted in my own blog - it's evident she doesn't want her kids to even contemplate other ideas!) As for myself, not a single one of my friends was made due to any Church going activites, because only one of my many friends is a Church-goer. That friend, in fact, has no friends from her Church, because she is the only member of her age - her peers are either two or three years younger, or recently married couples a few years older.
