I have always liked the sacrifice bunt and complain often that we did not move a runner from first to second and ended up in a double play or a K with a runner still on first, and then not scoring on a subsequent single. However, it seems to me the best way to advance Raffy to third from second is to hit the ball to the right side, which could result in a hit. The fact that Joe bunts seldomly, other than with pitchers, is puzzling in this situation. It seems like it might be the only bunt to get a runner to third this season, unless a pitcher was bunting.
