I didn't look around at all the trails but it didn't seem like a stroller would be effective at all.  There are more trails there than just the chasm trail so there might be some great spots for a stroller ride after all.  Sorry that I can't be more helpful!

Hi!
Thanks for your note!  I really appreciate your words.
I would be happy to tell you a bit more about our decision...maybe in a post....maybe by email.  I need to think a bit about how much I want to share in a post...either way, I'll get back to you.
Thanks again!

It truly is an amazing place!  Can't wait to make a return trip.  This time with Dad, who is a bit better versed in science than I !!!!!

Thank you so much for these thoughts and suggestions!  Just what I was hoping I'd find today.

What suggestions do you  have for really great childrens literature for her level.  She reads at a first grade level, but we read chapter books well beyond that.  We've enjoyed the Little House series, Charlotte's Web, Cricket in Times Square, The Incredible Journey, The Trumpet of the Swan, etc.  I would love to hear any suggestions of other great books to read together.

Thanks again for your thoughts!

She does look very little in this picture...!  She was only a little less than 2 weeks early...which really isn't much in terms of development, but it was certainly a surprise for us!  My first two were "late" so we really weren't expecting to greet her until a week past my due date.  A very happy surprise indeed!

Well isn't that a great way to look at it!  Thanks for your optimism!

The blanket doesn't interfere with the use or safety of the seat in any way.  Safety is first, after all!  The straps go right through the slits in the blanket and since the blanket is only two layers of fabric (fleece and the outer layer) much less bulk is between the baby and the seat than if you had her wrapped up in a snow suit.  The blanket functions just like the popular Bundle Me car seat wraps by JJ Cole.  Hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Hmmm...I don't have templates, but I'll see what I can do.  I'll trace and scan them and figure out how to share them....with help I'm sure!
