Ditto. That's before taxes too. And I think that the nature of the work they do puts them in the blue collar camp. Almost all the cops I know work sidejobs. Nearly every firefighter I know does some kind of bluecollar work on their off time. The Ohio Police and Fire pension system pays 2.5% per year and caps, I believe, at 32 years. So if you put in 32 years you can retire at 80% of your salary. That's hardly getting rich.

" Despite the unfortunate resurgence in our time of the vile ideologies of the 1930s and 1960s to which he devoted his life, Alex was at the end a bitter and spiteful man. This was the predictable fruit of a life spent badly in recrimination and anger." Well written.

The right is not fractured and defeated. The right is thoroughly considering and weighing the strengths/weaknesses of all the potential candidates for what will be one of the most important elections of our lives. The fact that the candidates are all getting a hearing shows that the conservative voters in this country appreciate the importance of the upcoming election too much to simply rush to pick a candidate.

He wanted to get locked up. Raylan set it up. After Raylan used Dickey as a hostage all hell broke loose. Raylan got shot and the marshals swarmed all over the whole place. They arrested Dickey. That made it impossible for Raylan to return Dickey to Boyd. then and there. They planned this together. Raylan didn't need to to call Boyd all the way to Lexington to talk about the Bennett drying sheds being torn up. They staged the fight together.

Big Hollywood : 'Justified' Review: It's Good Vs. Evil When FX's Own Dirty Harry Returns For Third Season Tonight

I think some of the reviewers here at Big Hollywood have a hair trigger when big business is presented as anything other than the savior of mankind. I didn't take the coal company subplot as a dig at capitalism. The writers used it to expand the character of Mags Bennett. We were grabbed by what a dangerous enemy Mags was with the poisoning in the first episode. The coal company subplot showed us how smart she was. Mags Bennett, who probably didn't have a high school education, completely outflanked the professional sharpster the coal company sent to Harlan to deal with her. The coal company underestimated her and we were afraid Raylon might too. This kept the suspense level high and kept you sitting on the couch 15 minutes prior to the next episode so you wouldn't miss anything, like you used to do with 24. At least that's how I took it.

Big Hollywood : Liberal Film Critics Put Streep's ‘Iron Lady’ Through Ideological Torture Chamber

I might risk seeing this one.I'm thinking that the dog that didn't bark is the clue here. If it was a hit job on Thatcher the liberal critics wouldn't be fumbling for words like they are. While I'm sure it's not a look at Thatchers career that Andrew Breitbart would make,if it was a straight out slam the critics would be singing it's praises.
