KOMO - Seattle, WA : Aaron Reardon facing second recall petition | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Brea

Yeah like you think people vote? That's the whole problem. Last ballot measure something like 13K voters out of a county population of about 800,000. Let's see... that's not even 2%. The 99% need to get off their asses and occupy a voting booth (or register to vote and get a ballot) or a public office and fix the system instead of just bitching about it.

Check Block's record. She's no saint and she is a complete waste of tens of thousands of your tax dollars every year. She accomplishes nothing while tying up thousands of hours of court time that could be used to get something done.

I voted for him despite the "scandal" because it was such an obvious attempt to derail his campaign at the last minute. Let the guy do his job. He may not be perfect, but did you notice the other choices?

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Suspect in Afghan massacre identified by U.S. official | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, S

I should clarify that I wouldn't consider him a "Hero" now... of course he lost that designation (in my mind anyway) when he lost the rest of his mind. Prior to this tragedy however I would have been the one to pay for his meal if he was standing behind me in line at a fast food joint and I would have thanked him for his service. It's as simple as cause and effect. He never should have been sent back in. This is a difficult type of warfare. My son came home on leave (from the first of his two tours in Iraq) and I'll never forget the changes I saw in him. Unable to relax, eyes darting everywhere (looking for the unseen threat). Over there, you can't easily distinguish friend from foe so everybody is a potential danger. Bales enlisted on Nov. 8, 2001, less than two months after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. In 11 years in the Army, Bales has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal six times, the Good Conduct Medal three times and Meritorious Unit commendations twice for superior performance of exceptionally difficult missions. For the second year (2010) in a row, more US soldiers killed themselves (468) than died in combat (462). That little known fact speaks volumes on the mental state of our troops. Please look just a little bit past the end of your noses when you join the bloodthirsty gang on a mission to string him up. Maybe put down the rope for a moment and think of what that says about your level of "civilization".

Evil is around every corner. Crouching in the darkness, waiting for it's opportunity to strike. A mind gone vacant is prime meat, one with access to weapons, all the better. Kill. Kill the innocent. Evil prevails on this night. The rest of us obtain knowledge, and the defenses against evil that come with it. The real lesson learned (hopefully) was that as a society, we need to take responsibility for, and treat, the sick people that we create. He very easily could have been your son, your husband, or your father. His victims, equally as close.

People have gone "postal" after enduring far less than this American Hero has. He snapped. He lost his mind either temporarily or permanently. That's what the court will hopefully decide. Prayers for the innocents who have lost their lives, however their (Afghan) leaders are as much to blame as that soldier. Allowing terrorism to flourish in your country is what leads to this kind of collateral damage in the first place. Peace to all and I hope cooler heads will prevail and not turn this in to anything else than what it was. A person who unfortunately lost his mind, and the unfortunate people who were in the vicinity. A tragedy. Same as Columbine, Virgina Tech, University of Texas... the list goes on and on...

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Transcript: Pilot was torn before fatal plane crash | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

"Testimony at an NTSB hearing in May showed Renslow and Shaw made a series of critical errors leading up to the crash." OMG, She was sick! The pilot should have relieved her while they were on the tarmac. But he was making lousy decisions because he was tired. If I'm on a plane, I want two healthy and alert people flying the thing! I do not care how much they are getting paid, or how much a hotel costs. It's not about the pilots! It's about the precious cargo. They were both self-absorbed fools, and that's fine if they are not transporting loved ones. Makes me sick.

He could probably sell his story, if it wasn't already all over the news. The AP picked this up and it went National. I was kind of hoping he'd get away with it... Had everybody show up dressed like him, what a riot! Feel bad about the guard though. Pepper spray is no fun at all.

...Continued So now when they come around, their "dockets" in their back pockets so they don't look like they are selling anything... I tell them I know the game, and encourage them to find another "job". I tell them they are young and can do whatever they want in life. But for many of them, the "mag crew" is their life, and they don't know how to get out of it.

...Continued They had a rule against dating the girls on the crew, but me and one of the girls got together (ah to be 19 again!) and started talking about what a rip off the whole thing was. That was the kiss of death on the mag crew. Can't let that talk get around and poison the minds of the others in the cult, ah I mean "crew". I was unceremoniously dumped at the bus station on Phoenix and my new girlfriend at the next town. What was left of my money would be mailed to me after my checks cleared (yeah right). I had about $2.00 in my pocket. My Mom was able to arrange a bus ticket back to Washington and I lived on $2 worth of cup-o-soup all the way home. The girl, well she made it home, but when we didn't get together, she went back to the crew. Continued.....

...Continued We moved from town to town, state to state until we were all far from home and dependant on them for everything, food, shelter. We worked 12 to 16 hours a day in the oppressive heat of summer in Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Nevada and during the monsoon in Arizona, heading south where the grift was invented. Our "money" was kept on the "books" and dolled out to us in very small amounts. Our room and board was deducted from our "pay". They even had us believing that our customers would actually get their products. It was seriously like a cult, everybody getting down on the non-producers. A few experienced ones on the "mag crew" had the silver tongue and could sell anything to anybody, but most struggled to sell two or three subscriptions per day. I remember trying to convince people that our crew was different, and unlike the ones who ripped them off a few months ago, they would most definitely get their magazines. Nothing more humiliating than getting in the van and declaring "blank" which means you got no sales. Continued.....

Back in the early 80's I was down and out and looking for a job. I was 19 and just dealing with the death of my father. I saw an ad in them paper that said "Travel the US and make money! I took the bait and went to the "interview" at a motel in Aberdeen. Guess what? I was just what they were looking for. A lost soul they could pressure to go door to door selling something nobody needs, magazines! They whisked us away from home and tutored us in the spiel then set us loose for no more than a few hours at a time, picking us up and dropping us off in different neighborhoods.
