Thanks a lot for your reply.

It is very frustrating, as in the US I found opportunities I cannot get elsewhere. An undergrad, from a 3rd world country, no experience, managed to get support and set a start up. To me, that's incredible, I didn't expect to make it, but I tried anyway, and I made it happen. And now, boom, the dream is gone, or at least delayed,

Here is a bit of information about our prototype:

Thanks a lot for your good wishes.

You touched a nerve with this piece, Mr. Levine.

I am part of a biotechnology start-up. We want to develop a handheld, inexpensive device for DNA tests, DIY biology and educational purposes. We already manufactured a prototype device, looking for funding now. I needed to get a replacement visa, my old one was damaged, but valid until 2015. I got my old one cancelled and my new one denied.

And it was a B1 visa, not even a green card. Having that visa allowed me to go to the US and talk to people, learn, gather attention and a great team. A year later, we have results, we secured IP, and I am stuck here because according to a functionary, I am a risk, I will stay as illegal. I do not think that realizing the importance of a start up in times of recession is that difficult.

LOL, you sound exactly like the Randbots talking about CEOs who deserve to be paid 8000 times more than minimum wage.

It takes a lot of balance to stay at middle, as you'll find here, Nestor.

And you have seen the lesson some people wants us to learn. They kill, insult and try to prevent others from gaining access to health care, but if you call them on their bullshit, you are the mean one...

Well, of course, if I think that quotations are reasonable, I'll argue and not support them, even if they are used to defend points of view I agree with. Yo no trago entero. Is that a revolutionary (pun intended) notion for you?

Satyre is an incredibly powerful weapon, and I do not care what do you think. I am not trying to censor and control, neither telling you what to think. OTOH, you are telling me how to argue and have the chutzpah to claim it is me who wants to control others?

I gave plenty of links and arguments, and tons of people died and are suffering because this twisted notion of AE, and we are supposed to pay attention to this cooky 21st century equivalent of McCarthy, would she think I am dressed in black today because I support burqas? HA HA HA HA HA

Poor conservatives, relentlessly censored by the Internet Leftist Troops!

It is dishonest from you, Boludo, to join me with Nestor, as I have never opposed the use of quotations, if the quotations seem reasonable. For somebody sooooooooo interested in Personal Responsibility (TM) and Individualism, you seem a bit lax treating people as individuals and you are addressing their behavior collectively.

Michelle Malkin is not the author of the video, which is a very different case from Ayn Rand being the author of the quote. Had Malkin (or Coulter, for that case) made a sound remark about Chávez, I'd say nothing. However, when your opponents insist that you are a creepy right-winger, enemy of the poor and so on, it is at least unwise to link to Malkin's blog if you do not need to link.

Comparing me to Ayatollah Khomeini? LOL. I am not surprised. I am "worked up" as JC said before, not surprised in the slightest. So, do right wingers' modus operandi implies comparing everyone who disagrees with them to Islamic rulers? Really lame argument.

" Why is one of the “bad guys” getting this out first instead of one of the “good guys?” WHY? "

Because they are stupid, paranoid, and distrustful of everything that is not 100% American, according to their narrow worldview? Seriously. Would you trust the opinion of somebody that wants to make a private company drop an ad, because a piece of clothes supposedly resembles a keffiyah? LOL, LOL^2, LOL,^3 ... LOL^n
Is it that they care now because they are trying to compare Obama to every possible thug, tyrant and dictator? Is it because comparing Sweden's "socialism" actually makes America looks worse? It's not, I think, because they care about Venezuela. And for liberal blogs, BoingBoing really gives good coverage of tyrants of any color, all around the world.

I do not care if 100% of Americans believe on their exceptionalism. The doctrine is wrong and unfounded in reality, and leads to that absolutely stupid doctrine of "my country, right or wrong". You see the difference between sensible people, conservative or not, with that. Sullivan now says the war in Iraq was wrong and misguided. Malkin, on the other hand, is angry because Obama dares to recognize there had been mistakes. Is that sensible? Is that what you support, Boludo?

If I can live with Chavista thugs, who think that Chavez is never wrong, then it won't be that different to live with Conservative people who think America is never wrong. I am surrounded by Chavistas 24/7, do you think I will get scared because of rednecks? LOL LOL LOL

I was in Louisiana when Obama won the elections!

PS: I never said AE was a fringe belief. Quote me on that, please. Insane it is, absurd, delusional and misguided, it also is. Or you can prove that it is real and factually accurate? Is America never wrong? Is it wrong to admit mistakes?

I DO get worked up about insanity and stupidity.

it is not a matter of being polite or tolerant or agreeing 100%. I often disagree with Sullivan, specially on healthcare, but he is not ranting and spewing the kind of venom that Malkin does. He is a Catholic and a self defined conservative, things that I am not, but I read his blog because he is sensible, and even when we disagree, I can find some common ground and well written arguments for his position, not certainly allusions to "American exceptionalism" and half witted attacks.

Why should I not get worked up on such a display of assholery? I got worked up with Jorg Heider, I get worked up with Berlusconi. The day I do not get outraged with these kind of things, from left and right (man, I got WORKED UP, when I read "Ode to Stalin" by Neruda) I'll be dead.

When I read "American Exceptionalism", it is pretty much when I read "Lebensraum". Stupid doctrine based on delusions, not on reality, used by racists who like war and bring dead upon "inferior" people.
