The only role I am even remotely unhappy about the casting is Jerome Flynn. He is just too old in my opinion and not at all how I saw Bronn looking in the books actually I think that the new guy playing Gared looks closer at least in that picture. Of course all we can do at this point is just trust in D&D, GRRM, and Nina Gold and hope for the best. That said I think that the majority of the cast is great, Katie Dickie is a little on the skinny side but as someone pointed out Psychosis can manifest in many different ways and who says that for the series she can’t have done something like stopped eating and focused only on Sweetrobin who looks like he really is sickly (I think it's his head, it looks really big). I hope the guy they have for Hugh of the Vale knows what he's in for, good luck Conan. Pyp is perfect he even comes with big sticky-outie ears. To parrot someone up thread Mycah doesn't look too fast, but on an original note I would love to hear a story from Margaret John, she looks like my grandma. And am I the only one hoping for a scene where Sam has to help Maester Aemon on to the toilet and he gets shit all over his hands. That would be funny as hell. My brother and I were joking that it was a good thing they didn't get the American Death at a funeral equivalent of Uncle Alfi, just think about how weird it would be if Sam was being trained in the Maesterly Arts by Danny Glover. O_o

what about David Kelly. he is much closer to my mental image of Aemon. And if you've ever seen Waking Ned Devine which is one of my all time favorite movies he is a good actor. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0446303/ As cool as it would be to see John Lithgow in the show I highly doubt he would be cast as Varys. I think he is a little on the tall side and he is American.

I hope he isn't just a bit pudgy because being fat is a major part of his character because brings the fact that he is a softhearted person to the surface, but I also don't want him to be huge because then I just kind of feel that he would be completely ridiculed as the fat guy who was a pussy.

This is really cool you've obviously put a lot of work into it. If one wanted to help out what would you like people to do. Add general characters bios, details on Roberts rebellion, or vague details about some of the castles not of course actually describing them in detail but just the history behind them. is that the sort of stuff you want?

why can't these all be as easy as the one for Rory McCann. I would have gotten it first on here but I didn't know how the commenting system worked back then. I like agree with WiC's guess for Kristian Nairn is Hodor, but I'm not so sure about the actor who has been cast for what could be noone other Maester Aemon.

I would say The Blackfish is pretty important because of the fact that not only is he one of Robb's most trustworthy commanders but he is also a Tully. Also he give another voice toLlysa's fall into insanity. He has a major role to play in later books so I think it is imparitive to the story he is in there.
