You may be right.. however I play alot of tennis and the struck tennis ball acts much like a baseball.. even more exaggerated I may add.
What I find is that there are two basic components.. speed and spin. I hit the tennis ball with both.. when the pace of the ball dissipates.. the spin takes over and causes a greater drop in the tennis ball.
It is an interesting observation watching how flat a tennis ball can travel with out "breaking" untill the pace again, is dissipated and the ball literally drops because the spin hasn't yet dissipated.

Anyway, I think your argument is right, except that the only way the ball would drop off the table so to speak is if the ball slowed down, while the ball kept spinning. Also I have noticed that if the ball is hit hard enough, there doesn't appear to be any spin, but as soon as the ball slows down, the spin takes over and that would be consistent with the transfer of energy theorem someone, I think Newton formulated, Pace turns into spin.

I could be way off on this but, from what I can see that is how it works.

Does anyone know how much tax revenues are pulled in from ciggs?
I don't think the goverenment really wants you to quit.. if they were truly serious they would give incentives on cig cessation items like nicorettes, such as being taxless.

Wonder where that tax revenue will come from when everyone quits.. wait, I know the answer.

I'm very surprised the shippers would fly them during that heat. When I moved back west from NJ, the airlines would not fly my cats until the middle of fall.
Poor guys.

I say..
Take out the viaduct
Do NOT build a tunnel
Do not do anything but have a north entrance near the battery st tunnel and a South entrance near SODO.

Its been studied that people usually use the 99 to commute from north or south seattle anyway.
We can do with out it, make it a green zone for people.. much nicer, much cheaper.

I had to drop att and switch to Verizon.. hate verizon, but, they work.
ATT, drop calls, too much, "can you hear me now?" and yet they are the company with the fewest dropped calls.. I just don't understand. I guess they did finally figure out that no one lives in checkaphilamoscow though.. good for them.

I am so saddened when it comes to natures natural death..I can't even watch nature shows. Would it not be humane to euthanize the poor fellow if it is actually dieing?

Nice place.
A gal friend of mine was mugged and robbed, she unfortunately tried to defend herself and woke up in Harborview with multiple injuries.
In the same week, another friend was knocked unconscience by someone..
all in belltown.
