Ooh, sorry to hear about the flu. It'll take a while to get back to your usual 'highly tuned athlete' status, but glad you are out of hosp. I went down with 'normal' flu the week before Christmas and just went out for my first run since. Cor, it doesn't half knock you back. Less said about our dismal team the better ... and this from the Eternal Hammers Optimist.

West Ham Till I Die : I'd Rather Have Barton Than Sidwell

Goatygav's comments sum up my feeling too. Tidy it up, be more objective, strengthen the argument by removing the stuff that can easily be ignored because it's not based on facts, and you'll have a lot of support.

Nice to read your story, Gav. I imagine the sadness of your Mum's passing when you were so young will always be with you. It's interesting how various things can help us through the tough times. DevoDevo, it is interesting what you say about the split ... we've lost so much at our club.

Nice one, Declan. Really enjoyed reading that. I watched him play many times and he was a pretty good full-back. Apart from his frizzy hair the other thing I remember was he had a strange way of 'carrying' his hands, if you know what I mean. Bit floppy. Is that the way to describe it? Perivale, eh? My old stomping ground. Conway Crescent. Anyway, thanks for the post, Declan.

West Ham Till I Die : We Must Convert Our Possession in to Goals!

That's an interesting view, Mensch. He can't have seen the 'handball' so he must have beeng guessing. From his angle it must have looked like a handball, but he lacked a bit of composure, really. He needed a second or two to process what he thought he'd seen versus what he did see. And there's his problem. Too quick on the draw, as you say.
