I'd go with a Porsche Cayman, hands down. It's a vastly more usable automobile and offers excellent dynamics. Is it more common? Sure, but while the Alfa will be stand out in the crowd, it's not really a primary car. There's also the point that the market is full of used Lotus Elises for near half what the Alfa will cost, and those cars - or an Exige - will give you a very similar experience.
