FinerMinds : The Pursuit Of Perfect By Tal Ben-Shahar - Day 15 Of The PhilosophersNotes Challenge

interesting how to create change in the world, we must first change ourselves. though is it really "changing" as much as it is tapping into the flow already present? :)

FinerMinds : Real Magic By Wayne Dyer — Day 8 Of The PhilosophersNotes Challenge

the biggest aha today was actually in the You Tube video you shared about journaling. using the top 5 things the vision escrow account - was that an abraham teaching? the NOs and YESs to rewiring your brain as you mentioned and something that's hit home is enjoying the journey. sometimes I forget to enjoy what's happening right now because I'm so focused on the outcome. how do you gain a balance between achievement and being in the moment? thanks for sharing. be well matthew

FinerMinds : Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind By T. Harv Eker — Day 6 Of The PhilosophersNotes Challenge

It's simply amazing the impact what goes on in our subconscious plays out in our results, eh? The first time I went to the SOMM seminar was 2008 in Detroit, MI. I had read the book before attending though I wasn't quite sure if I was for or against what Harv talked about in the book. My past conditioning had been in the opposite direction. What a change that happened as a result of playing at 110% while in attendance. I let go of allowing everyone else's beliefs impact who I is and how big I play. It's been interesting to see how people in my life react to my growth. At first, I felt guilty for growing because I wasn't sure how to react to the people close to me rejecting me. Then I realized "well, maybe it's not me they are rejecting. they can no longer control and/or manipulate me like they could before, so it's a change for them." I held onto a ton of self-limiting beliefs before realizing I could let them go. Sure unsupportive thoughts still come up from time to time though now I can choose to think something different. Playing to win - an honorable principle indeed. Know what you want, commit to focusing on it, let go, and go for it. Thank you for sharing this note with us yesterday, Brian. Something inspired me to wake up at 3am and listen to it and I am grateful you chose this book for this day. Everyone - may your day be blessed :)

FinerMinds : How To Stop Worrying And Start Living By Dale Carnegie — DAY 3 Of The PhilosophersNotes Challenge

the essence of the message for me: focus on what I am doing right now, dare to be vulnerable while being who I is, and when things don't turn out the way I would prefer, take the lesson, put it in my pocket for later and let the unsupportive stuff go. was it mark twain who said "most of the problems I thought about never even happened" let go and let everything be ok. it is what it is anyways :)

FinerMinds : The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People By Stephen R. Covey — DAY 2 Of The PhilosophersNotes Chal

thank you everyone, for sharing in this experience. YOU are remarkable :) 1+1=3+ That principle is what resonated the most with me this morning. In my experience, every time I brought other people around me that were smarter than I, magic happened. Many times when I tried (there's that word "try" ;) ) to go it alone, I didn't get as far because I was the only one to model after in the moment. Wow, this definitely isn't the easiest thing to publicly reflect on what I can improve on, though it's definitely refreshing. Thanks for playing, and may your day be blessed. be well matthew

FinerMinds : The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz — DAY 1 Of The PhilosophersNotes Challenge

thank you for sharing this book first, brian. "nothing other people do is because of you, it's because of themselves" just saw the movie Avatar last night, and wow, this theme was present throughout the entire movie. it's so simple to live the four agreements and yet many people make it very hard for themselves. why do you think that is?
