<description>The problem with going on a strike anywhere is that you hurt the employer.  Whereas that is the goal, to show how valuable you are to the company, it also costs the company business.  Lost business equals lost jobs. It will take some time to realign everything and get business back to the Terre Haute facility, but hopefully it will not take too long.    It also sounds to me (reading the above posts) like the union board misled the workers a bit, or did not really understand the scope of things.  Either way, it cost them dearly.  Both in members, trust, and monetary terms.  madwife76, what do you mean by gag order?    </description>
