Hi SRS, With all due respect, having worked on cases that involved the FBI, DEA and ICE, I can tell you that those agents are incredibly focused during an investigation and couldn't care less what the public thinks. Same with the Sheriff's Dept. and other local agencies. All these men and women generally take these kinds of cases very personally. They are driven beyond belief when they are attempting to locate a missing child. I have seen agents and detectives barely sleep or eat during these investigations.
Regarding Staton's statement about knowing things he wished he didn't--my biggest fear is that witnesses have indicated that Kyron was emotionally or physically abused before he was taken. To me, that would be the worst, aside from finding him deceased. I am still hoping against all hope he is alive, but I am painfully aware of the statistics that indicate otherwise.

CB and Newschic, I totally agree with you. It was easy to read between the lines as Sheriff Staton spoke. Now, I am so afraid this beautiful little boy is no longer with us. I am keeping Desiree and Kaine in my prayers.

I know TMH is innocent unless proven guilty, but I cannot shake the feeling that she is behind this young child's disappearance. I hope I am wrong, but there are just so many red flags.

VTLady, I am married to a retired career prosecutor and he tells me that scaling back to a Task Force is a very common occurrence in a complex case such as this. Usaidthat also said it well. I suspect LE has a very good idea who committed this crime and is doing their best to compile their evidence and clear up any other remaining leads. This may take a while, but I think the case will eventually be prosecuted.

I have immense respect for Sheriff Staton and his colleagues. You can tell he is very emotionally invested in solving this case and bringing Kyron home.

Actually, I think the DA's office is actually going to run the Task Force with assistance from other local LE agencies and the FBI.

I so agree with you, Momoffour. Kaine and Desiree deserve our support and prayers. I cannot even begin to imagine their pain.
