If the truth would have been told immediately, Jerry Sandusky would have been in jail long ago and the university would have weathered the storm by now. People would certainly have given them the benefit of the doubt for coming forward as soon as the problem was known.

I can't get my head around legalizing street drugs, other than pot, which I think is much less harmful than some things that are already legal. As far as the consequences for farmers, maybe all those legal gang members caught could be turned into a "chain gang" instead. I bet they could get alot of things picked and weeded. Send their pay to the correctional facility and it wouldn't cost law abiding citizens quite as much to keep them off the street. This is far too simplistic, but the idea makes me feel better for a moment or two.

You are right. I have no idea what the solution might be. Maybe enforcing immigration laws would lessen the number somewhat. It doesn't seem any solution would last for long, as gangs are lucrative enterprises for their members.

If someone breaks into your home, you can defend yourself. There is no defense for something like this. These gangs have been too out of control for too long.

Low self esteem seems to be the excuse for any bad behavior these days. I always thought that you should accomplish something in your life before you were entitled to feel so darn good about yourself.
