I haven't found anything so far that discredits Rogers claim. September 01, 2009 Mike Rogers drags another conservative politician out of the closet. Love him or loathe him, blogger Mike Rogers has a 100% track record when it comes to outing politicians that fight against gay rights while secretly pursuing same-gender sex. Senator Larry Craig, Reps. Mark Foley, Ed Schrock and David Drier (to name but a few) have all been exposed by Rogers as right-wing hypocrites who rail against LGBT equality but don't mind smoking some pole on the side. I couldn’t disagree more when it comes to the outing issue. I think some of the greatest harm to our community has been self hating gays. As far as I’m concerned any politician that aligns himself or supports the anti gay movement is open game. The person who reported this has a pretty good track record and I think it would be immoral and total hypocrisy on our part NOT to expose the truth. As far as the enablers are concerned I don't see the comparison at all unless they themselves are on a soapbox denying me my rights. (Though I cannot for the life of me understand how any rational thinking gay person can have an intimate relationship with a self proclaim homophobe)

Dude, Thank you so much for for posting this. It really helps to put my rage into some perspective and laugh at the absurdity of this situation . Looking at how badly this administration has handled the health care reform debate gives me very little hope of them having any balls to stand up on our behalf.

Would have been nice for the preacher man to start the meeting off by mentioning the victim that was beaten, don't you think? A prayer for his recovery certainly would have been appropriate. As an outsider looking in I didn't think the mayor was sincere in getting to the truth.

Once again Massachusetts and all the other New England states are proving to be more progressive than California and are leading the way for equal rights. Hopefully gays and our supporters will remember these states at vacation time and spend our gay tourist dollars there. ( Though New England is always at the top of my list during fall and Christmas for it's unmatched beauty.)

Great Article and well written. Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember bar raids in California so my past experience tells me this was a well planned case of intimation and harassment. The answers from the police don't ring true in my opinion. This story needs to be told and spread throughout the cyber world and we dam well better demand answers.
