I agree with that, vote the person not the party. Our two party system works just fine. I think if we are going to affect any real change soon we have to start on the local level. If we can, maybe see if anyone comes along on the national level that we can support in either party.

Well if the registered number of independents continues on it's trend upward then the other two parties may go away. But I think for our system of government to work well, I think we need a 2 party system. It's work well for us in the past, it's within the last 100 years that it's been breaking down, and I think that can be atributed to the progressive movement. I'm a Libertarian by nature and beliefs but I hold no allegiance to any party, so I won't try to recruit you ;-)
I have a simple question, and I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way. Has anybody had a face to face meeting with anybody else? I've been out of the loop for a little while, but has anyone here set up anything to meet face to face to talk about this leadership thing? I know Aspade is working on something, and I'm sure some people have come together. Do we start with local meetings and then come back here and post what went on to coordinate whith everybody? Shoulde we divide each state into regions and work from there? Have these ideas been put out there and I'm just late to the game? I don't want to step on anyones toes or do double work, can someone give me a distance and direction on where to go or how to be more productive? Just askin'.
How about face to face meetings with people in your area? The only way to see if you trust someone is get to know them. Everybody here should be a good judge of character, meet up and talk to each other face to face.
The Fox news channel and the Fox Bussiness channel will both air the speech tonight. I think they thought that they would loose enough ad revenue with thoes 2 channels so they won't air it on the other channel. Just my thought. And besides what do we care what anybody thinks, we know what we stand for. Good post.
