We have all been there... done stupid things... made mistakes.... taken a risk. I have often wondered how I survived my late teens and early 20's. My heart goes out to the friends and family.

Thank you! I am so tired of the cop bashing.... they should all walk a mile in the cops shoes before they bash. If someone was coming at them with a knife and would not stop.... they may have a very different view. Thank you Milwaukie Police (and even those hated PPB guys)... you can protect me anytime!

KATU - Portland, OR : Man accused of driving drunk twice in same day | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | Local

Like it or not, DUII is a catch and release sport in some cities and counties. The jails just don't have the space. The police towed the truck, what happens with the truck after that is not in their control. Also... depending on who the registered owner of the truck was the tow company could be quite wrong in releasing the truck. They are not to release it to anyone but the registered owner and if just a few hours ago the guy was arrested for DUII there is a pretty darn good chance he is not yet sober. They state in the article there was an "understanding" with the tow company he was not to drive. What brain child released this truck knowing the guy was drunk? Yes they called but I imagine there was the CYA feeling as soon as they saw the two switch places.

KATU - Portland, OR : Boeing hands out layoff notices, 700 jobs gone in Seattle area | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | Local

Boeing needed that strike.... they wanted to delay their fines from the airlines that ordered the 787... if they are unable to make delivery due to an IAM strike, they are not held accountable for the fines and late fee's. That was what the strike was about. Boeing needed a scapegoat.... Their 787 was running 2 years late well before the strike due to mistakes the Boeing Company made in OUTSOURCING the work to other countries. Had they kept the work here... the union members, who are actually getting pretty good at putting airplanes together, could have made Boeings 787 on time. I wonder how many jobs could have been CREATED by keeping work in the USA to begin with????
