Does this absent blogging make people really want to watch the ambush show? I actually feel myself completely losing interest. Not because I didn't win : ) but because there is NO feedback or blog posts getting people excited about this win or for whomever the winner might be. It's almost as if I feel "eh" or "blah" about this now, when in the past, with new blog posts and select clues the excitement was really built up--I even appreciated this excitement if it meant a bigger letdown! : ) Maybe they will stop building dream homes soon, and just concentrate on their other contests--smart home, green home , etc?

I think if there is no blog post tomorrow, we can still go on assuming no ambush has happened yet : ) Side note, I noticed John posted on his facebook (just googled his facebook) 6 hours ago! --A random fact about a friend's band playing back in February. I would say he is hanging out someplace and trying to relax or getting brief moment away from the ambush planning to post something : ) or hanging out at an airport ready to travel or at a hotel... hmmm

AND, I don't think they will do the call to the winner this year or call an immediate family member since maybe the winner is a Blogger, and bloggers are TOO clued into "the call" and other possible things HGTV could do before the winner is ambushed (we will scrutinize our loved ones and every possible phone call). Complete surprise this year!! Just old fashioned, staking out the house to see if the winner (or someone) is home.

YES, that makes sense, I think the ambush has not happened yet either... maybe waiting to post another blog post AFTER the ambush has happened (if ambush is tonight, we would get the blog post tomorrow then...?) ! I'm guess the next blog post will signal that the ambush HAS taken place--clue or no clue with it.

Ohhh, and if he is flying back to his SF Bay Area home, AND he has an apartment in NYC, AND the ambush is happening tonight (or very soon), I think the winner would be west coast based!!! East coast winner would mean John could fly home to NYC and fly from there (would make sense would it not?)... Hmmmm

Hmmm...Is John Gidding still involved in "Curb Appeal"? This was based in the SF Bay Area... so maybe he lives in SF or nearby?? Ohhh....maybe the winner is near where he lives in the Bay Area and he doesn't even need to fly to the winner!!! (my logic because I live in the SF Bay Area ;-) )

John's twitter feed drops off after Sunday (and he appears to be a heavy tweeter normally), so I think traveling to the winner's hometown is a safe bet for Monday, and if the ambush prep takes 1 day (rest of Monday and part of Tuesday), then the ambush should happen this afternoon/tonight. I think this is it! Does he live in So. CA? Maybe the winner is in CA? He seems awfully tired of traveling from his last tweet and can't imagine him traveling back and forth...from east to west...then back east (if the winner is east) so close to ambush time. Although, he is probably used to all the flying, and first class helps I'm sure. Hmm. What other "clues" can we over-analyze? Anyone?

Normally we get at least one clue on the day of the winner pick, correct? Like.."I've never been here before" ...at least when Monica was involved in the drawing. Doesn't sound like there are any clues coming with this drawing or I think Virginia would have said, "stay tuned for clues to where the winner lives!" or something similar in this blog entry. Who is the spokesperson for this drawing? Since John will be ambushing, does that mean he was the spokesperson also and announces the winner at the drawing? Hmmm....I'm also skeptical they have phoned the actual winner; I really think they would try to contact a spouse first to keep the winner surprised, and if they do contact the winner before the ambush I don't think many would fall for the "you are a finalist" line anyway.

It's my understanding (from previous years blog discussions and watching the unsurprised look on a lot of significant others faces in the videos) they call someone close to the winner (immediate family) to get the scoop on when the winner will absolutely be home. In the past, it's typically husbands or wives who have known beforehand. I can't imagine them knowing very long before the ambush though --I'd have a terrible time not acting any different after knowing a secret like that.

Yay! I love the anticipation right before ambush time! This year seems more straightforward (in the rules ) for when the winner will be picked and ambushed--I like that! At least after a certain date we know the winner was likely ambushed...last year I remember a lot of confusion among bloggers. Here's to hoping for an ambiguous clue about where the winner is--hopefully one tomorrow so we have all weekend to dream away and speculate on "where" the winner lives! Fun fun! : ) I just broke a bone in my foot the other day, so if you see someone getting ambushed in crutches and falling over in surprise (and likely breaking something else) it may be me! Otherwise, have fun with the ambush unknown winner out there somewhere :)
