slow down and at least spell check your posts...it's hard to answer a question when it's complete gibberish.

so your question is why "lefties" support Obama? I'd say he is being supported by his base because he is a smart man and a very skilled politician, and if history has taught us anything about climbing out of a recession it's that pumping capital into the system is the best way to stimulate the economy. The better question is, what's the alternative? What's your solution? How would you solve the current economic troubles? Please "unlighten" me

2mobleyscare, i'm sorry you think that anyone who watches the president on Leno tonight is "elite" and "stupid". regardless, i'd like to see what he has to say, and i'd bet many Americans would as well

scared4Rcountry, i do think he will speak to many of the issues facing our nation tonight, hopefully reaching a greater number of citizens so they can make up their own minds...or at the very least spark an interest to do their own research. maybe they end up agreeing, maybe they end up disagreeing...but i support any opportunity for our President to reach more Americans whether they agree or disagree with what he has to say.

that's not a metaphor. you have to use a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing but instead is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison. you can't just capitalize the word and say it's a metaphor.

how is addressing the nation belittling the office of the president? i'm guessing there are a fair amount of concerned citizens who don't or can't watch his NUMEROUS speeches and press conferences during the day and would welcome a chance to hear what he has to say in a forum like a late night talk show.

Vikam, in case you missed it, yes Obama did win the election. By a sizable margin actually.

But you're right, AIG totally bought this election for him. That $101,332 from AIG really put Obama's campaign over the top. BTW, the story about AIG's campaign contributions this site references fails to mention that McCain was #3 on that list of recipients of AIG contributions.
