TruckerSteve.ORG : Trucker Bombs

There have been a few times in my previous occupation (Military), where I had to use "Piss Bottles". I hated it- especially because people would just leave the damn things laying around. If I had to use one I always emptied it and threw away the bottle when I no longer needed it. Not even going to consider it when I start driving OTR soon. Just not something I want on the inside of my truck. Good time management is crucial, as is not loading up on a bunch of caffeinated fluids before starting a long drive. It's a personal habit of mine when on any kind of road trip to drink water and avoid soda, coffee or whatever. If I do drink said beverages I sip on them enough to enjoy the flavor and keep my mouth moist. One thing that blew my mind, I saw at a fueling island at a Terminal, a sign asking Drivers to please not empty "Urine Bottles" in the nearby drains. I was shocked, but I suppose I shouldn't be. When it comes right down to it- if I felt I really needed to have a way to relieve myself I'm going to buy a port-a-potty to keep in my truck, but not in the cab. Only take it inside to use in private, then put it back in the outer storage spaces. I just can't see myself allowing my "Home" on the road to become filthy with piss jugs. I have to hand it to this company for making an attempt to give people an alternative. However, I agree with Steve that people just need to plan better, and further they need to quit chugging the 72 oz mega coffee's.
