I studied a little bit of contract law and there is no need to essentially sign a check twice. This is just a way of recouping costs. They need to get insurance to cover losses from checks.

because of my major, I've been lucky enough to find most of my textbooks in digital format which is nice because of the stupid costs associated with real texts. I really like them because of the search functionality. If I need to find something out about a topic I can get right to it instead of thumbing through pages.

Shut up Terry Ewing. We all abandoned that type of wishful thinking back in the fifth grade. Cops aren't going to get tickets, and thats mainly because the third party companies running the red light cameras will never bite the hand that feeds them. Idiot.
