KOMO - Seattle, WA : Does frugal living hurt the economy? | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Discussion

mainly durable goods in bulk with a long shelf life (to protect against the inevitable inflation that WILL result) and they should be learning skills that help them produce for them selves. People need to stop relying on this corrupt system and wealth redistribution. Your politicians and the intervention of their protectionist mercantilist policies are the problem and the obstacle to the free market and true liberty. It’s like trying to control the oceans tides. Here are some good links I like to read from regularly: www.mises.org www.lewrockwell.com www.kitco.com What some would call fear I would call a common sense rational reaction, peace!

I don’t blame people for being fearful of what the trend of this world economy is telling them. People should live frugally and within their means. Cheap credit and wasteful spending not just by regular people, but businesses and MAINLY government are the problem. The Federal Reserve forcing down interest rates artificially translates to the creation of new money and credit into the system that in turn debases the currency causing volatility through tsunami like deflation and inflation. People have to protect themselves from those forces that seek to fleece them through taxation and monstrous deficit spending. People should be buying what they need
