Hi Tom, theoretically, the CL75iP has been designed for iPods and iPhones as this is what the dock on its right has been designed to do. However, technically speaking, you can use it with your walkman music player only if you connect the usb cable to the back of the clock radio. The clock will then need to play the music from your walkman via usb, it will import music to the clock too. Finally, the usb port will also charge your walkman while it is connected. Hope this helps.

Hi Natalie, just had a look and I can confirm for you that the backlight definitely 100% lites up when there is a call. I am not sure why some would suggest that but there is definitely no problem with ours.
