If there's an issue with a rule or particular model that's raised I try to address it in as positive way as possible but when it comes down to it we all have our own opinions and some people will just arbitrarily decide they don't like something in advance and those people I just politely tolerate....

In a 'pick-up' game in store or while teaching another person I'd moderate my 'going for the throat' however in a tournament you're getting my 'A' game...because it's a tournament...and I'm there to win it and toning it down has a very real possibility of costing me VP's or whatever that might make the difference between first or second...

Playing to win can be done without being a bastard at the same time and I'm happy to explain how I won and how I think you could improve your own force...but in a tournament environment if I can destroy you in half a turn...you're getting destroyed in half a turn ;-)

I am apparently expected to start an army of these by pretty much any-one who knows either version of me...well one of the three versions of me actually...

...there's not enough chains on them currently for my liking for the Hellraiser vibe I need from them...I'm sure that can be rectified though...

The Deneghra one is considered somewhat powerful locally when they do 'starter box' tournaments. I'm not sure how they compare generally though...

Also 'undead' gives him access to a whole host of things other than 'zombies'. He just has a varied set of tastes is all...nothing wrong with that ;-)

I see no need for him to limit himself, lol.

True.

I have far more Malifaux 'Rotten Belles', Deadzone 'Plague Troopers', Warzone 'Undead legionnaires' and to be depressingly honest 'Space Marines' than I could ever possibly need or use.

To be fair my Malifaux collection is becoming ridiculous in scale considering I first started it because it didn't need many models to play.....

To be brutally honest there's not many Warmachine models I actually like so when I find some I tend to get a lot of them, lol.

I actually enjoy the background stories and have no issue with the style of writing however Von does make a good point about the mechanical aspect of the game sometimes showing through.

No character ever really uses an ability that isn't on their stat card and you can sometimes think "Well they're boned know they don't have enough Focus to cast *insert spell name here*" and generally be correct...
