I agree 100%. If an establishment chose to go non smoking there wouldn't be this much talk about it. Yes other states have gone "smoke free" and it has worked, but the problem here is not whether or not you can smoke, it's about the government telling you how to run your business. We all have choices and it's up to the individual to make that choice not the government. With less people smoking or buying cig we are going to lose tax money. The government is going to have to get that money from somewhere so get ready. I am a non smoker and it was my choice whether I went to an establishment that allowed smoking, it's not going to be my choice when my taxes go up.
Thoughts and prayers to Matthew and his family. I had no idea how dangerous and complicated diving could be. Thanks to all the advanced divers on here for the education lesson.
What a wonderful thing Elves and More did. Thanks for putting smiles on so many faces, especially this time of year with the economy the way it is. What a great story!!!!!!!!!
Thoughts and prayers go out to all families. Did it ever occur to the ones who say it's either drugs, drinking, speed, texting, that maybe this person lost control trying to avoid hitting a deer, or maybe they had a medical condition, etc. There are many different things that could of gone wrong, so don't be to quick to judge.
Again, thoughts and prayers to all families involved.
Happy Holidays!!!!!!!
I agree with you %100, a 2 hr delay would of been best.
Thank goodness this little girls is back with her parents and wasn't physically harmed. This has happened several times this year in GRPS. Where my children go to school the 5th grade safety's are assigned to a room, and a specific bus for K-1 and each day 5 min before the end of school the safety takes their group of kids to their bus. This way the kids know when their safety comes to their room they go, and the safety knows who their kids are and what bus the kid rides on. The teachers also have a list by the door with who is taking the bus and who have parent pick up, and if a parent picks up a kindergartner they have to go to the childs room to pick the kid up, teachers will not just let the child walk out alone. Also, I thought that a bus driver couldn't drop off a kindergartner unless they see the parent, or maybe this is just a district rule. It's time that the GRPS start making some real changes.
Embezzlement is wrong and these two should have to pay for their crimes. I do wonder if Lakeshore Partnership ever looked over their books because $400,000 is alot of money to embezzle in 10 months. I hope none of these businesses go under or people lose their jobs due to cut backs because of these two.
This is very sad, and my heart goes out to this family, but I have to agree with you. The first caller had no information to offer, not even a city, just a street. People can not expect emergency personnel to just drive up and down a street hoping to find something.
I hope these workers remember this when they're crying about not having a job. I agree "retired" unions do nothing but hurt the economy.
OMG we pulled over on 144th to let a cop car go past with it's lights on going about 50 plus mph around 3:30ish. We must of pulled over for the guy in the stolen cop cruiser. Then on Mercury saw several State Police go by at high speeds. Lots of excitement in Robinson Township. Glad they caught the guy and that no one was hurt to bad. Hope the policeofficer has a full recovery.
