I believe in the American Dream. The American dream in my eyes, is a a family moving to the United States, moving into an urban neigborhood, the father getting a job and supporting the family, the wife being a stay at home wife, cleaning and preparing food for the family, and 2.5 children. Nowadays, however, i believe that the american dream has faded away. Back after World War 2, when the American dream came to be, that is the prime time of people coming back to america to start out their lives. People were living the so called "American Dream" by starting their families. Today, however, this has changed. People are starting to live off of their parents/living on their own. Living in the city and having appt. complex's is changing the American dream, not just those two things but there are other factors too. The american dream isnt the same. If you look around today, there aren't immigrants coming into the United States who get their own urban property, a nice house with a picket fence, and a wife and 2.5 kids. The American dream is not just for American's however. In my opinion, the American Dream is just a concept for making a life in a new country. The American dream could take place is an immigrant wants to move into France for example, and start a family and get a nice job there. The American dream does not have to take place in just America. You know that you are living the american dream if you are happy in the new country that you are in. If you are working a job and have a family and are happy, then you are living the American dream.
