If you read the first paragraph, you will see that she was at work during the day. Not everyone works within a stone's throw of their children's schools. I've worked at places as far as 20 miles away from home and it's not like I can just step out for a break to go say hi to my child. So please don't judge this mom for her actions.

The weather is very unpredictable in Spring. Children that are young enough to be at schools that have a Field Day, in my opinion, have not matured enough to know how to dress for the weather. That is the responsibility of their parent/guardian to monitor and teach until the kids have shown that they can take on more responsibilities of caring for themselves.

There is more I would like to say but I'm sure others have said the same thing, only to get TD by the ignorance of those who have never had to be responsible for a child of any age.

The comment that really irks me is: “Price increases at Kohl's are not common; however, the unprecedented increases in the cost of certain commodities, such as cotton over the past 24 months, have caused us to take these actions,” It sounds like the same thing the oil industry is crying about, meanwhile making record profits each quarter.

How dumb do they think their shoppers are? Covering a price tag with a higher amount tag. No, people won't catch on. I'm glad I don't shop at KOHLs. If this is their practice, then I will not support it.

I was in a roll-over accident when my son was 5 months old. I contacted the manufacturer of the infant seat and explained what happened. They said that if I wrote a statement of what occurred, how the car rolled, etc. then they would send me a new infant seat. They would take the one that was in the accident and study what happened to it and how they could make it better. I guess field research! Infant/car seats are not meant to be used again after an accident.

I was so happy to find that out. I also learned at that point that car seats have expiration dates, most likely to updated safety standards. On the car seats we had, the date was stamped on the back or bottom, where the model number, serial number, etc. was located. Also molded into the carrier was the manufacture date.
