As someone who took care of my Grandmother at the age of 19 for 2 years, I can honestly say it is not the easiest thing to do. We made the decision to take care of her at home for she was the women who gave us life and love. I will tell you it was a nasty and degrading position to be in but I wouldn't change that experience for nothing, that being said we in Washington have more resources available to us so I have no sympathy for this family except to see money as a motivator. Bedsores don't just happen overnight and I can't believe the husband had an olfactory problem with his nose. I really dread aging and hope my kids or nursing home with give me the respect I earned throughout my life.
