looks like an old wire cutter to me But I wouldn't mind having four of them because they could be cool to make into legs of a table :) just my thoughts... even More important is that shower head! Love it and really need it right now in my bathroom, the one I have is from the late 1970's. Time for a new showerhead indeed. Didn't know showerheads came with controls like that, very cool and hightech. Thanks for featuring it and happy ya'll offer a handheld one- it sure makes it easier for us older folks to washup ;)

I wish I had all that stuff for my dog . so set up for someone with a dog. this has to be the Best laundryroom of all the dream homes of the past. would love to own and live in this house. the independant film festival is near there every year in Jan, its the perfect location. really is a dream come true home and location and really beautiful homey decor with all the modern high tech appliances, its just simply a dream. would be totally worth relocating my whole life for... completely dislike my current city and state location. hope whoever gets it keeps it, although nobody ever seems to keep these lovely homes ya'll give away and it seems most of the winners ALL already own a home and really don't need another home. sure hope it goes to someone who is willing to relocate and Needs a home and to someone who has a Dog :) xo

exciting to view the new structure videos... educational and interesting and amazing to watch the workmanship involved. Keep 'em coming :) that area carpet that is winning by leaps and bounds in the voting is beautiful, happy everyone is voting for it because it reflects the old world history of the home. Love old historial homes. The beautiful dark woods in most old homes and the dark wood craftmanship was lost in most homes in south Florida where I live... down here nobody has front porches or lovely wood cabinets... most kitchens and bathroom cabinets were made with brightly colored formica/laminate... UGH, and the indoor and outdoor paints colors of lemon yellow, lime, peach, pink & babyblue Need to be BANNED from the state of Florida. Whomever introduced those paint colors down here should not pass go and go directly to jail, lol, because this generation is now suffering the cost of having to Repaint everything to neutral classic colors :)

used to wash your clothes back in the old days, some people in the mountains here in the USA still use them. not sure what the proper word for it is... but in the old days I guess it was just called a laundry washer, lol, it must've been a prized piece of 'utility' item to have back then, so women could keep their hands from being in dirty water.

love love loveeee that this home is from the 1800's and that it has belonged to one family for almost all that time... I would loveee to see ya'll reuse ALL of the vintage overhead light fixtures, it sounds like you're only planing to keep a couple of them and it Looks as if there are a Few of them... If there are two or three of those hanging vintage lights they would look fantastic hanging above the dining table with the matching larger one in the livingroom. Nice way to keep a theme of them room to room. Love the old doornobs as well, if they're not functional they would make Great wall hooks for hanging things on, maybe by the backdoor or mudroom type area? And IF I were to win this fantastic old home (and I pray I do cuz I LOVE Old Homes!!) I would Very much like to meet the family that owned that home for all those years! I'd beg them for copies of the oldest family photos they have of the first famlies who lived there so I could hang with honor as I feel its important to give the home a part of its historic roots :) Thrilled Ya'll picked such a lovely old home xox
