Military Readiness Enhancement Act of 2009
To amend title 10, United States Code, to enhance the readiness of the Armed Forces by replacing the current policy concerning homosexuality in the Armed Forces, referred to as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", with a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of sexual orientation

Oh, check out if your rep is actually a co-sponsor. There are 132 of them! (ALL democrats)

Chaplains would be forced to choose between their convictions and their enforced job, the inevitable argument of giving equal benefits to "partners" once "married" in their state of origin would be a mess, and not to mention the whole issue of sexual harassment being called simply "intolerant" yeah, a mess all around

I first posted the following three weeks ago - when there were only about 2000 of us!

"WHAT IF???

What if we all just kept what is our own? The only thing this administration seems to understand is how to spend our money. I believe that the entrenched governmental powers that be have forgotten that the money they play with is truly ours. Just like any errant child, our discipline for them could be withholding what they seem to be having the most trouble with.

My husband and I amended our W4 to stop all withholding. We will decide next year to do with what we owe. If EVERYONE on this site did the same - not pay in payroll taxes and then decide next year what to do with it, then I believe that they will stand up and take notice. Hit 'em where it hurts - the wallet. It is OUR money, and they need to be reminded about his.

The love of money is the root of all evil - by keeping what is ours during the year, we can show them for what they really are - money hungry, power hungry people in need of a wake-up call. This is especially interesting for our family as we are military, and our salary is paid by your taxpayer money.

Phone calls seem to not work, mailing tea bags will be stopped before they get to the president. All i can see when I think of this administration is "the ivory tower" - leadership who is completely out of touch with the rest of the country. The only way to make them stand up and take notice is to stop their flow of funding - our taxes.

That would be a REAL tax "Tea Party" if we all kept what is ours to begin with. "

actually, my husband (Air Force Officer) said that it's OK to cancel the F-22 as long as the (I think it's called) the F-35 is still going to get the green light. WAY better machine.

the ironic part of all this (to get real for a moment) is that the global warming sillies DO NOT COUNT diyhdrogen monoxide in all of their calculations in global warming, even though it is the main form of climate cooling that we have - DUH!!!
