So now I work my duff off, and use one single government funded program, so you don't have to pay for me to be on welfare, since my company doesn't offer maternity leave, and this way I also save about $10 a month, which is a nice little bonus for me. No it's not. I remember everyone laughing at the abstinence people when they would come talk to us at school. And it's not the education of abstinence that's proven, it's the actual abstaining from getting it on that is "100% proven". There's no way to keep people from bumping uglies. It's bound to happen, abstinence program or not. Humans are wired to act upon impulse, whether they like to believe that or not. We're animals, we just happen to walk on 2 legs and have the ability to grab things with our hands. And birth control isn't used simply for preventing pregnancies. It's also used to regulate menstrual cycles in women, which can be a HUGE help.
