couldn't agree more mate on both points but Chimbonda, Babbel, and Santa Cruz in, Parker staying = the best outcome we can hope for in the next 1.5hrs doubt we will get anymore in though TBH

We've missed out on some bargains this summer while we've been harping on about Beckham, the olympic stadium, Henry etc and considering we are wheeling and dealing we could have got a lot more quality for our money Caiceido has just joined Fulham for £1.8 million good solid left back with European and international experience Beckford for free - this lad has goals in him Gosling free - very promising defender / midfielder on either side Sol Campbell - say what you like about him but he is MUCH better than Tal Ben Haim and would have added that experience and even still has a bit of pace (with his gut!) Martin Petrov - pace skill and can put the ball on a sixpence! granted he wanted to stay up north but was worth a go Steven Taylor - he's been transfer listed apparently. We should snap him up right now!

I think Big uncle Avram will give us a similar season to what Roy Hodgson will give Liverpool this season. By this I mean a steady improvement through no huge investment, but just getting our players doing the basics, playing people in their right positions, working hard for each other, and getting a really good team spirit going. We do have talented players despite where we finished last season, we just need to apply them in the right way. Zola didn't have the experience to do the above and I think he also falls into the category of Roy Keane where they were great, exceptional players and may expect players to be able to do what they did and find it as easy as they did to grab games by the scruff of the neck or turn on a bit of magic to win a game At the moment we need hard work and graft to stabilise this season. We've got a couple of players who can deliver the craft in Diamanti and Barrera and we are lucky to have players like parker, Hitz, Noble, Faubert and Boamorte who will wear their heart on their sleeve and go out and give it 110% each game. Avram will, in my opinion harness these players talents and mould us into a decent side again and one to be proud of. I am feeling really positive about this season - Even if we don't bring in that "big name". We've never bought big names, we make/nurture our own talented young players into big names - that's what we do best....... we just need to keep them playing for us from now on which is what we have been promised by these new owners. As long as they keep to their word we should be moving positively forward COYI WHTID!

I think we will start with Upson and Dacosta in the middle with Ben-Haim on the right and deprela/Illunga on the left. I can't see them bringing BH in on his wages unless they were going to start him - not sure I agree with it but we will see I guess

well chaps - looks like the young international is none other than Winston Reid - yep the New Zealand international. He's a defender and 22 and had a decent world cup so fits the description I'm sure we were all hoping for a major name but could be a decent hungry player we need - link below http://www.3news.co.nz/Winston-Reid-set-to-finali... I really hope this Remy saga hasn't been a red herring as some have suggested and we do have these funds available for someone - if we do please please please bring in Gyan!! He's strong, has an eye for a goal, quick, has skill and can hold the ball up all day long - exactly what we need when playing the formation we are at the moment - especially if cole has the knee problem we are all hearing about COYI!

great statement and I really hope this is true. I just pray his head isn't turned (you all know what Harry is like), if he hands in a transfer request what does Sullivan do then? I'm sure Scotty will stay but at the same time I wouldn't want someone playing for us who doesn't want to be here All the noises are positive so far... can't wait for the villa game - Milner will be gone by then, no time for a replacement as Martin O'Neil leaves it too late as always in the transfer market so we can see Scotty smash through Nigel Reo-joker like a bloody steam train!

trouble is mate Santa, Bellamy, Dejong and Kompany were all brought in under the new regime meaning they are on mega bucks and we wouldn't be able to match the wages I would love us to sign Onouha, Ireland as well but he would be looking at European football I would guess.
