It was never meant in any way to confer citizenship to anyone who can get here while pregnant. But that is what unintended consequences are. We tried to fix one problem for a single generation and created another one in perpetuity. Think about the stupidity of this country, if a Mexican woman can sneak across the border pregnant she will get the finest health care for her delivery and baby, not pay one penny for it, and her child becomes an American citizen that can start getting free health care until the day he is 18 when he can finally apply for government assistance.
