Yay for maybe blogging regularly and the end of spring semester. And you got a new phone? I always like getting new tech, don't know what it is but it makes me feel like a big kid with a new toy to play with.

You have quite a few books on here which is awesome, I have Nice Try, Jane Sinner on my TBR because I have seen so many people so good things and if it only got pushed from the favourites spot because of Uprooted (who can blame you, I love that book so much!) then I think I need to invest in a copy. I hope you have a good June and read lots of good books.

OMG I thought it was just me when it came to having problems with this book! I mean, I know I was totally not in the right mood for it when I picked it up so it made me hella judgey about it but I ended up DNF-ing at about 25% because I just couldn't with it. I was frustrated by the predictability, which I don't usually mind but it just was a sign I shouldn't have been reading this. I ended up disliking a Twinkle a little because she was such a doormat to Maddie (who I hope she had words with about being such a bad friend) and I didn't like how she felt a connection with Sahil and continually disregarded him for Neil who barely said anything. I was pretty sure if I kept on reading I could have gotten into... but it didn't feel worth it. From what I saw I adored Sahil and I really liked Twinkle's Dadi too, so cute, she really made the bit of the book I read.

This book is one I both really want to read and I'm really nervous about. I only read The Song of Achilles because everyone loved it so I figure I should check it out (I also loved it but it was nothing like my usual reads) but it means I'm wary of reading anything else by Miller because what if it isn't as good? I do think the UK cover is stunning, though, I seriously want the book on my shelf. Glad to see you enjoyed it my expectations are even higher now. If I stumble across this book when I'm out and about I may just invest, you've convinced me.

This sounds like such an original read and it seems like it was beautifully written too. The imagery you've created from your review makes me think it'll be a stunning read that will really draw you in right from the start. I will definitely be adding this to my TBR considering I'd heard absolutely nothing about it! Great review and thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I love a good binge read but I so frequently get bogged down when I try and binge read too long a series, like I have done with Patricia Briggs books. I love there being no cliffhangers and no book amnesia though! I definitely appreciate the no book amnesia, because the struggle is real with that one. My problem is if you're waiting for the books to release is that you have to try and avoid spoilers, which is impossible!

I only recently found out the same about Mira Grant and was kicking myself when I didn't get Into The Drowning Deep when it was on sale. I am thinking I may have to invest in a slightly more pricey copy instead, it sounds like it's worth the investment. The others haven;t even really crossed my radar, I do remember seeing good things about Bone Gap though.

I am pretty excited for this book but I didn't realise it was a companion to Seraphina and Shadow Scale so I definitely need to reread the first and get around to reading the second. It sounds pretty interesting and I like there is an exploration of fluid gender and gender roles with Tess crossdressing. Sounds like a very cool book all things considered, I need to get this.

I'm definitely the person who does the last one. I start with buying one I absolutely need and then I end up with twenty new books and no idea how it happened. Even buying used doesn't totally work for me because I end up buying ten used books because they're so cheap and if I'm gonna do it I might as well crazy. The only way my bans work is if I speak to no one and browse no new books and basically become a recluse. I just need to go on a reading holiday I think so I can get through a few of the books on my shelves.

Sounds like a really weird book. Weird in a good way, but weird all the same. I don't think I'd have been able to get totally into it but I can see why it worked.

I have an ARC copy of this and I am excited to get reading. It sounds brilliant and just the kind of book I'll enjoy It's light and fun and still deals with some important issues. And Ouran High School Host Club crossed with Pitch Perfect? They are both things I love, how could I not want to read this?
