KOMO - Seattle, WA : Boeing to cut 4,500 jobs this year | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

There is also the lazy old timers that hide behind a little badge and only have it so they don't have to worry about layoffs. That is a problem in my book. I started working at Boeing this past summer and I work circles around many of the GOOD WORK ETHIC old timers (not), and I will be the one to get laid off just because of lack of time and not value to the company.

Well stated comdep. 1/3rd of my time at Boeing has been on strike. I don't have the reserve that many of you do, and don't want to cross the line. The Union has put many of us in a very difficult situation and clear reason why. This is my first time dealing with a Union and so far I haven't been too impressed. Time to go back and do the jobs that we were hired to do.

I agree, I don't understand why everyone wants to given everything on a silver platter. From the BAFO there were items that needed to be address and I feel they were. Now it's not enough, if you don't like it then quit your job and see if you can find something better outside of Boeing. I just started 4 months prior to the beginning of the strike, when I first saw the contract I was quite happy with it. After talking to some of the members that had been there for years I started to see what all the concerns were about. I voted to turn down the contract. This time I am going to vote for the contract. Looking forward to getting back and do what I was hired for.
