"The 82-year-old said while golf and tennis are probably among the cleanest sports..."

It's an opinion and the word 'probably' is used but I would have my doubts about this, especially in the case of tennis, where power and stamina are so beneficial.
However, the lack of evidence either way, given the poor testing regimes in both sports is a black mark against their governing bodies.

You have two right backs and Pavard, although not great in the final, had the better tournament overall so Trippier would miss out. Hernandez on the other hand probably stole the left back slot with his performance in the final. Kane definitely wouldn’t make it, started well poaching two goals against Tunisia but then all penalties, albeit well taken, and a deflection, threatening rarely from play. In terms of English players I would have Pickford, Trippier and Maguire in the running but all would have been piped for their respective slots.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, I guess and I find myself agreeing with Davy for a change.
For next year I think 2 weeks straight should be the most any team plays, before a week off.

Pity we didn't have one of them back in the late 80's and early 90's.

No disrespect to Chris Morris, who always gave his best but for me, right back was one of the weak points of the team in Euro '88 and Italia '90

I remember watching the Liverpool vs Spurs game back at the start of February, with a Spurs fan and I couldn't believe it when he told me that Kane had more Player of the Month awards for this season than Salah, at that point.

Not saying that Kane's form didn't warrant his two wins but couldn't believe Salah had only one win at the point... of course, he has been cleaning up since, winning the February & March awards, as well as the player of the season awards, but it just seemed very odd to me at the time.

While I'm waffling on about POTM, the buddy also mentioned that Kane already had the most awards, with 6 wins, which again I was slow to believe, given his age. Turns out, he is join top with Steven Gerrard, ahead of the likes of Frank Lampard, Rooney or my guess, Thierry Henry.

Just to be fair to him, I think you are misunderstanding Perenara’s comments.

Suicide rates do not reflect inherent mental instability alone but also the situation that a person finds themselves in.
There are reasons that the suicide rate among higher among certain demographics in some countries, such as the travelling community in Ireland or the elderly in South Korea… and it is much more environmental than genetic.
Like your physical heath, you have to look after your mental health and I think everyone has a breaking point, under certain circumstances… that breaking point may vary dramatically from person to person and reaching it may not necessary lead to suicide but if you think a mentally strong person cannot be driven to suicide, the evidence suggests otherwise.

Whether you agree with them or not, Perenara’s comments appear to reflect what Nigel Owens said, that remarks such as Folau’s, could contribute to young people taking their lives.

Perenara appears to be stating that there is enough pressure on young people to deal with their sexuality, particularly within certain communities, without a high profile sport person saying that they will burn in hell if they cannot change their inherent sexual desires.

Congrats to Duffy... although feel sorry for McClean the way he played over the last qualifying campaign. But I suppose the campaign was split over 2016 & 2017 and Duffy would have pipped it overall for 2017.

Some going by Seáni Maguire, getting LOI player of the year having left two thirds of the way through the season.
And before the anti-LOI brigade say that it shows the weakness of the league, it doesn't, it just shows how phenomenal he was... there were a load of players had great seasons such as Patrick McEleney, Conor McCormack, Aaron McEneff, Mark McNulty, Ryan Delaney, to name but a few.

Have England and Ireland created a two-tier Championship?

I know there's an expression that 'there is no such think as a stupid question' but I think this proves that there is.

Wales only lost out on points difference in 2015 and finished ahead of Ireland in 2016, while France & Scotland finished with 14 points, same as Ireland last year and finally England have finished a lowly 5th this year.
So there is zero evidence supporting this hypothesis, looking at the tables, aside from who eventually finished in top spot.

How many times have the Welsh alone, come from nowhere, with a new crop of players to win it?

Could this title be more misguided, given the history of this tournament?

Cometh the hour, cometh the man... and for me that man has been Conor Murray.

A lot of the Irish team have had a great 6 Nations... Stockdale in particular, Sexton, Earls, any of 4 different Props, Ryan, can’t think of any Irish player who hasn’t, come to think of it... but for me, Murray deserves to win player of the tournament.

A few wayward passes today but overall, he has been truly world class this year.

Fair dues to Kearney again, back to his best in the last two matches… he has proved that there’s life in the auld dog yet.

Well done to Kearney today… looked good at times in the Autumn Internationals but I wasn’t sure if he was really up to it at this level anymore.

Hope its not like Mike Brown though, where he was getting a bit of criticism and answered it as Man of the Match against Wales, only to get dropped after his next performance.

Need Kearney to play as well as today at Twickenham.
