My tax return is being contested by the IRS. They say I owe five figures more. It is going to cost me a lot of money and time to resolve this. The current tax code is so grotesquely convoluted that even the IRS is wrong on this one. The really, really sad thing is that I'm just one of millions that this happens to every year. We need a Flat Freakin' Tax. My charitable former self died.
