...As a non de plume blogger and commenter on the internet I take offense to the CNN reporter and commentator deriding the absence of my true identity and describing it as cowardly. Shouldn't journalists be held to a higher standard than those displayed by these two CNN employees? Oh, and with all of the recent apologies flying freely over the airwaves, shouldn't CNN be sending one my way. CNN calls Fishygov cowardly: I don't understand this CNN story. How do they go from Andrew Breitbart's Big Government reporting of the Sherrod speech to regulating anonymous speech on the internet? That story was sourced (in this case a video from a NAACP speech given by Sherrod). Free speech is free speech whether you use your name or a non de plume. Are they saying that novelists and other print writers should also be held to this new CNN "braintrust" standard of journalism or is it just the hated hate speech they disagree with? CNN's call for a new justified and properly credentialed sourcing standard doesn't scare me; what scares me is that it fits so well with Obama's version of too much bad information on the internet confusing people. CNN and the President should read the Constitution and realize that our weaknesses are also our strengths...

How's that post racial presidency working for you? Please name one single thing Obama has done which improves the safety or quality of life for U.S. citizens. House democrats have been voicing their opposition to any new spending for weeks now -- It may have been longer than that but I stopped listening to democrats months ago -- Obama's solution to get these reluctant votes is to increase the spending of this bill by adding $10 billion for one of his favorite charities...the teachers unions. You could create a national virtual school system for $1 billion...no wait...this is the federal government we're talking about here. The fiscally challenged federal government could create a virtual national school system for $10 billion...a year but they may need more later for the anticipataed cost over runs;-)

Jobs and revenue don’t trump the environment Governor Jindal. I agree that the moratorium should be lifted. All land and shallow water moratoriums on oil exploration and drilling should be lifted immediately but not the deep water moratoriums. ALL oil drilling permits should NOW be based on proof of oil deposits in the area to be drilled AND the exploration/drilling company's ability to make quick and effective repairs both foreseeable and the unforeseen. The BP leak has proven that even the most sophisticated up-to-date oil company CAN'T make timely or effective repairs in deep waters.
