Not true.. it doesnt work that way. it is true that there is that instant attraction where you know you are going to fuck that guy. But also, there is the nice guy that grows on you, that makes you pay attention to him, and when you least expect it - you are over heels for him.

I had a girlfriend who experienced something similar - but i know she didnt feel the butterflies because he wasnt aggressive.

In your write up, you never mentioned if he ever made a move. As women, we are so used to men being aggresive that when he doesnt it mostly left us confused and we dont know where we stand. So instead of putting ourselves out there, we just retrieve and say that we didnt feel the butterflies.

Also, when is the last time you talked to him.. you are talking as if the last time you saw him was a year ago... is that true? if that is the case - move on. However, if last time was a week ago, invite him over, have couple of bottle of wines and make a move. Unless you make a move, you wont know if there is something there.

I have dark skinned friends who go about life without this issue consuming their lives. They have natural hair, and because they feel beautiful - they ignore and are not affected about what other people may say. They just take it as ignorance and move on. However, I have other dark skinned friends who have to talk about this all the time.. make a huge issue about having natural hair and how nobody accepts them.. and how hard it is.. and how they are the most beautiful thing in the world - BUT, because they are dark nobody sees it.

Isnt this about perception? I do agree that the damage is done while growing up, if you tell a child they are not beautiful because of their dark skin - they are going to grow up without self-steem. Sure.. something needs to be done about attitudes towards raising children.

But once you are a grown woman, and you know is not true.. if you know it is ignorance. Arent you after awhile stuck in the same place if this continues to bother you?

Sexual orientation is not something you are assigned.. it is something you are borned with. I dont see how habing a genderless baby would have any implication on this child. At home - he has a father and a mother, I am sure it will identify eventually with either one.

In my experience, underconfidence is a killer of most relationships. Because there is a point where you get tired of convincing the person of his worth - and why are you still with them. Also, those are the people that tend to think you are cheating on them! Underconfident people usually make you want to break up with them after couple of months, because they are just too much work.
