I am not a BNP Member, indeed I am an ex-Labour Councilor, but even I believed that since the BNP are a properly constituted and legal political party then they are as entitled as anyone else to hire and use rooms owned by we the tax payers. The tactics being used here are those more akin to countries such as Zimbabwe and other one party states keen to stifle opposition. Frankly I think this is a disgrace and whether you like what the BNP have to say they do have the legal right to say it. What the Manchester City Council is doing is most probably illegal and I as a tax payer object to a City Council trying to interfere with the democratic process by denying the BNP use of its publicly funded facilities. May I suggest you reverse this decision and in future stick to providing the services we all pay for and are entitled to use, so long as we stick within the law which of course the BNP are indeed doing.
