Did you notice how Green had a quiet game, yet still pulled off a world-class save in the very last minute of the game to keep a clean sheet? Exceptionally good.

Iain, all of my marks are the same as yours, with the exceptions of Collison, Lansbury and Vaz Te. Today I noticed just how hard Collison works all over the pitch, and was very impressed. He's also bursting forward a lot more, especially when he knows Noble or Nolan is behind him which will soon reap dividends! Lansbury's vision is also bordering on superb! And he can pull of the passes too! Vaz Te on the other hand was a bit mediocre for me today, got into some good positons but did little, worked hard for the team but did not pose the kind of attacking threat I expected, especially when even McCartney had the beating of their right-back for pace! He is good in the air, I'll give him that. But I expect more from someone who's been firing on all cylinders for Barnsley this season! Collison - 6 Lansbury - 6 Vaz Te - 5

West Ham Till I Die : Match Preview: West Ham v Crystal Palace

Completely agree with EastStandHammer, George John should be given a run out if Tomkins and Faye are out, though to be honest I suspect Sam will risk one of them for the game - depending on how the late fitness tests go. Also I would like to see Baldock start, it's been very rare this season that he has played and received good service from either wing - which we can achieve with Faubert (hopefully) and Vaz Te?

West Ham Till I Die : Result: Player Performances v Millwall - Noble Rules

By the end of the season I'd rather see Potts at left-back. McCartney was a liability against Millwall and in other games this season. Also not sure Faubert is really our best option if they were all on top form, Vaz Te probably offers more end product. Having Diop in our 'best' eleven isn't the way forward - he's too defensive minded, albeit a brick wall, but I'd rather have Collison/Lansbury. Plus no place for Baldock at all?!

Faubert played really well on Saturday, his effort was fantastic and he got into some really good positions. Really deserved a goal with that header. Yet I still believe he lacks a good end product. He can't shoot well or cross all that well. Hence why he wasn't my MOTM. Faye deserves to be higher up in my opinion, as he was a brick wall in defence (with the exception of their goal). Reid was solid enough, but can be drawn out. Tomkins swept up well as a defensive midfielder. McCartney, Taylor and Collison did not impact the game enough for me. McCartney was a liability, and neither Collison or Taylor was particularly threatening for me. I think had we drawn or lost that game they'd have received much lower ratings - but when we win, most seem unwilling to rate anyone below average (Nolan is a separate entity entirely).

The flurry of news concerning Vaz Te/Morrison/Maynard has died down? Vaz Te would give us pace and contribute goals (if his season with Barnsley was anything to go by), Morrison is clearly fantastically talented and Maynard would provide competition up top. Just hope the signings won't damage Hall/Nouble/Montenegro's chances.

West Ham Till I Die : Carlitos Coming Home?

Thank you for that comment about Braderz. The behaviour of some people with regards to his posts has been frustrating for me, and maybe even hostile? His sources may be questionable, but he's provided a lot of information that has turned out to have a degree of truth to it, often alerting us to our interest in players well before other gossip sites are aware of it. Fact is, Iain asked him to contribute as he felt his source was reliable enough to warrant a position where he could post on the site. It has always been a point of interest, receiving a lot of attention and encouraging some good debate. If the reaction to him has been so extreme that he has been forced to relinquish his position and simply post updates on Twitter, I feel totally alienated from a number of posters who slated him. I sincerely hope he returns to the site. We have a few days left, and I'd love to get all the information first from him.

David Gold has stated on Twitter that: 'I believe Robert Green will be with us for many years to come'. Perhaps the deal presently is that if we go up he signs on? Fair play to him if so.

Snodgrass and McGugan would be brilliant signings, whilst I agree with the suggestion that Cole and Baldock haven't had time to gel and will form a good partnership. Jelavic would undoubtedly be a good signing, but I'd rather not sign him at the expense of those two creative midfielders! In the earlier poll about who we'd most like to sign, my vote went to Whittingham. I think we have the players to finish chances, but they haven't ever been clearcut enough, and we're lacking that player to sit between strikers and midfielders so that Cole/Baldock aren't having to drop deeper to get the ball. I think if we have approximately £7 million to spend we should sign Snodgrass for £3mill and McGugan for £4mill. Snodgrass' contract is running out I believe, so Leeds won't hold out for too much if he's made it clear he wants to go, and I'm sure McGugan will want to come to the team top of the Championship rather than languishing in a side which has gone from last years' play-off semi-finalists to battling relegation! Gollivan, go straight in on both players with high bids, tell them they can have Sears and Piquionne too if they want!

West Ham Till I Die : More Clungetastic Gossip on the Transfer Front

Wouldn't mind Faubert leaving, apart from depleting the squad somewhat. Green is a huge loss. Absolutely huge. And now we might regret never giving Stech or Kurucz a chance - as it's now going to cost us money when we have to sign a new keeper because we haven't got a tried and tested replacement ready-made. Just goes to show you can have the best academy in the world, but you need to have managers adventurous enough to take the risks and give them game-time. If that story about Piquionne is true, he deserves to be stuck in the reserves and never play a game of football again. That epitomises all that is wrong with football nowadays, a player turning down the opportunity of Premier League football based on a £13k pay-cut - disgraceful. Good news on Taylor, Diop and Demel. Excellent news on Robert Hall, between the new contract for Tomkins and potentially one for him, it at least shows the intentions of Gollivan to no longer be a feeder club and tie down our best potential for the future. (The only problem is, and I'm not a critic of Allardyce's at present, PERHAPS we don't have the right manager to get the best out of youth at the moment - or maybe the wrong circumstances). If Sam has £10 million to play with at present, spending £9 million of it on one player seems absolute lunacy! With Bilic's recommendation I could easily see him coming to us, but £9 million is too much. Sign Sordell and Whittingham for the full £10 mill!

Don't want to get too sentimental, but isn't it the fiascos and surprises round the corner that makes us love being West Ham fans? I for one am a huge fan of the January transfer window, and think it's always an intriguing time for us Hammers.

Loving Braderz most recent update concerning Sordell then! But I'm not sure I'd have gone for 4.5 mill! I suppose it's that idea posted about always going up by 0.5 million, might completely put Watford off or see another PL club trump us?

Am I the only one who thinks that Baldock is a like-for-like of Rhodes? Baldock was the 'Jordan Rhodes' at the start of the season, scoring for fun, and we snapped him up. Since, he's played 9 games, four as a sub, and scored 5 goals? If he'd not got injured, perhaps we would have seen a run in the team and a higher tally than that? If anything, I think we should sign a cheaper option than the PL-attention-inflated Rhodes, someone like Rodriguez or Sordell, and snap up a winger like Celik. Rhodes has not justified the £5 mill price tag in my opinion, let alone the £8 mill figure going around!

Because he's in a club pushing for their first SPL title in 3 years, he's the 2nd top scorer, and he's pretty much guaranteed an attempt at CL or Europa League action next year. Southampton have been testing Celtic's resolve, but to be honest with you, I think it's more likely that he just doesn't want to leave and Celtic can happily reject all bids?
