My mother's a minister. They've cancelled services for at least three weeks but she still has to officiate funerals. At one yesterday (for a miscarriage), there was a relative who was presenting symptoms and was actively trying to cough on people. My mother played defense, but who knows if it was enough. They're both older, and my father has a weak heart. I'm terrified.

My old monitor was dying (starting to flicker on different sides constantly) so I had to replace it. With some credit card rewards and sales, I was able to get a very low latency TV instead, for half price - so I'm going from a 22-inch screen at 1080p to a 43-inch screen at 4k. The difference is... eye-opening. The main problem is my desktop image. I've been using a piece of fan-art from Worm (TW: bugs) - https://www.deviantart.com/neoworm/art/Skitter-58... On my new monitor, the character is now life-size. I've never been creeped out by it before, but.... I think I need a new desktop image. Any suggestions?

That was when I caught up with the actual story, and discovered I had to binge Wildbow instead of wait day by day. I tried coming back few months ago but got lost in the interlude. I finally finished chapter 7 today.

There were a couple of moments throughout the series where Veronica was moving her car at the last moment. If Penn had been observing her, he could conceivably have made that Hail Mary. Still doesn't justify the rest of the twist.

(Fair warning to those considering - this show has almost all the trigger warnings. This is not hyperbole.) I had to use the "fast forward 5 seconds" button a fair bit myself - cringe can be painful - but I enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the more realistic take on powers, like ynfre rlrf - frevbhfyl, vs vg'f fgebat rabhtu gb or hfrshy, vg'f gbb fgebat. The Homelander actor was the lead on a show called Banshee. I never had a clue. The dude just did a phenomenal job. The cast in general is fantastic - that "poor dude" actor was the heart of Timeless and he made that character work with so few scenes... I'm working my way through Ward. I had managed to catch up in real-time...and discovered I cannot read it without binging.
