KOMO - Seattle, WA : Cyclists push for safer bike lanes in wake of attack | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

I was flipped off this morning by a cyclist who was going against traffic. I was wondering why did I get flipped off? Even though he was the one at fault. So I got angry and I wanted to get out of my car and beat him, but then I realized that I could end up in jail. This was not my first incident with a cyclist, but it was certainly the most irritating. This time I didn't lose it, but who knows what's gonna happen next time? Whether it's me who is being provoked or any other driver or even a pedestrian. Somebody is gonna lose it and end up hurting one of these cyclists. I don't condone violence in any way shape or form. Some people should learn how to control their emotions, so they can avoid verbal or physical confrontation as a way to express how they feel. However, sometimes people find themselves under so much pressure that no matter how hard they try, they fail to act civil. Especially when they are law abiding citizens who are being provoked by certain individuals such as cyclists for reasons I can only blame on "road insecurity". Insecurity tends to put people in a defensive mode, where they act preemptively all the time. So please end this drama, give them their own lanes and let's hope they'll use them.
