Big Government : Did Obama Let the Progressive Cat Out of the Bag?

Progressives like Obama at some point in the last few decades realized that they would have to hide themselves in order to promote their agenda. They thus developed a series of Trojan horse strategies whereby major changes would be undertaken via seemingly moderate - or even conservative - vehicles. It wasn't supposed to go like this for the president. He was supposed to be smart enough to continue hiding his liberalism even while pushing his FDR Redux agenda. While that strategy still has a chance of succeeding, it will be hampered to the extent that it is exposed in the mainstream media. So far, it has only become evident to a small minority of people who read conservative literature (though, of course, those who suspect all Democrats to be closet socialists never needed to have the agenda exposed). There's a more troubling question lurking in the background, however: What if the U.S. has actually shifted to a center-left nation, perhaps even far to the left? Is it a foregone conclusion that this proposition is false?
