"Cruz, who is a NBC by virtue of being born a citizen under Title 8 Section 1401 of the US Code. . ."

Anyone who requires the operation of a legal statute to gain citizenship is, by definition, a statutory, vice natural born Citizen. I will NEVER vote for Cruz, Jindal, or any other ineligible candidate for POTUS. The founders wrote what they wrote in order to ensure, to the greatest degree possible, presumed undivided loyalty in any individual entrusted with the awesome power of the Executive, including and especially, command of US armed forces.

Just because "Obama" has (so far) gotten away with his usurpation does not mean that legal precedent is set thereby.

"I think the good old boys wanted Sarah Palin out of Alaska, so she became McCain's VP pic."

I realize that I'll likely take flak from some quarters for this, but I think it bears pointing out that, out of hundreds of millions of incontrovertibly constitutionally eligible (born on US soil to two Citizen parents), Mrs. Palin ended up the running mate of Mr. McCain who, like Barky, also had eligibily issues. I mean, what are the odds that BOTH CANDIDATES in 2008 would have questions surrounding their eligibility to hold the office they strove to get elected to?

Sarah may have, like many of us (including me) at that point in history been ignorant of what A2S1C5 is all about, vis a vis the Framers' intent to innoculate the Executive against foreign influence to the greatest presumed extent possible, but she has had ample time since then to educate herself, and her failure to speak up on the issue (including on Ted Cruz' cadidacy rumblings, unless I failed to read or hear about it) to my mind tags her as either (conveniently) intellectually incurious about a point of law that could have and should have prevented an "Obama" "pResidency," or worse, places her squarely in the "Convenient Constitutionalist" camp with the rest of the GOPe opportunists.

I am in agreement with so very much of what Mrs. Palin espouses, it pains me to "call her out" on this. I just think that the Political Class decided that A2S1C5 was/is politically inconvenient, and rather than go through the torturous (and by no means uncertain) process of amending the Constitution to allow persons whose status is simply Citizen by Birth to be President, they all conspired (yes, conspired) to water down the eligibility standard through political sleight-of-hand by stacking the 2008'candidate deck so as to electorally nullify the Minor vs Happerset standard in effect previously, Chester Arthur's perfidy notwithstanding.

That's a great list. If I may, I feel it bears pointing out that you left out Sourcery, who wrote arguably the most comprehensive treatise on Natural Born Citizenship in the history of FR.

I read Booker Taliaferro's autobiography, "Up From Slavery" and can say with confidence that he most likely would be horrified at what the Left has done to American blacks, and at how his name is (mis-) applied to causes and institutions which don't square with his values. This man, rather than wallow in self pity following emancipation, started with nothing (including even his full name!), and after twenty years of tireless efforts had grown the Tuskegee Institute into a place of learning that would be valued in today's dollars at around $1 Billion. Fred Douglass (whose own autobiography "Narrative" is likewise an outstanding story of perseverance, hard work and a fierce sense of self worth in the face of adversity) would also have nothing but contempt for aka "Obama" and his scumbag handlers and enablers.

That a place of learning named after a great man like Mr. Washington can today be described as "militant" is a true travesty.
