What a long day. I FEEL LIKE VOLUNTEERING, HOW BOUT YOU?? Oh that's right, I FORGOT, you can't. Oh well, I'm heading off to the fire station to make sure the fire chief isn't down in the basement drinking a beer. FJA

To the Patriot,
It is apparent you have no idea what the "volunteers" do. I will fill your uneducated head in on a few things. The fire dept has a budget and is budgeted so much money a year by a Tri Township of Trustees. In short, the Chief and secretary and Treasurer are responsible for maintaining a budget of line items and not going over these items such as training, fire Prevention, Utilities, Equipment, Station Maintenance, fuel costs and maintenance for the apparatus, and many others. I know I'm overwhelming you with this response about a fire fighter drinking a beer in an authorized area. A very small price to pay to a Volunteer Fire Chief who takes care of all the bills in his spare time.

Oh, by the way, there is a strong Brotherhood within. I served 18 years with the Solon Fire Dept. Now I'm going over to the SFD and I'm going to have a beer with the Chief! SFD12R
