Welcome Home Doc! Medics and Corpsmen are the bravest people I know. Michael Johnson, the first portrait I did for this project died a Corpsman. Semper Fi! Mike
Thank you! The Massachusetts deal is an incredible surprise. The families will be there that I've worked with. It will keep people from forgetting about them. I have seven posters of the portraits I've done. Two of them are on the web site home page, upper right corner. Just click on them. All seven have been chosen for permanent display at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. This is the first time anything like that has happened there. Mike
I'm sorry I make you cry, I make me cry, but that means you understand. Thank you for understanding! Mike
It took me a long time to realize what was missing. I am glad that helped you out. Nam was a different and very strange place. All we wanted to do was come home and when we did it wasn't there. Then we waited for our friends to come home because they understood, some of them didn't make it. Then we began to think we were OK and that was a mistake. Then we married expecting all to be well. When it wasn't we didn't know why. Six years go I found out why. Thank God. Its good to feel! Mike
Thank you! I believe everyone that has ever joined or served in the military is a hero. I feel very humbled being able to do these portraits for the families of the fallen. In six years I have learned more about love then ever before. Six month ago I decided to include the British and Canadian fallen in this project and since then have many new family members from the both countries. They hurt just like we do. Mike
One thing to always remember, all Nam vets had to learn this, we, those that have served will always care. If you ever feel alone or angry just let me know. My project is to let people know someone, as it says a total stranger cares. I do care. Mike
John, Welcome Home Brother! Mike
