I was beginning to lose faith. I tried to talk to my 30 year old son-in-law today about the government etc and he just shrugged his shoullders and said, "Why do anything? They are going to do whatever they want anyway." After questioning him to see what he knew about the government and it's workings, i discovered that he knows NOTHING about any part of it. He has no opinions on immigration, taxes, North Korea, the Obama's health plan or anything. It's scary because he has 3 kids and is buying a home. He has a job as a welder in the farm implement business that with todays economy seems to be on shakey ground. Most of the younger adults seem to feel this way. I sure hope I'm wrong. They piss and moan and try to inspire people to vote a certain way during the NEXT election. Our founding fathers, had they been alive today, would have been called right wing terrorists, luntatics, radicals, rebels and many other nasty names. they would have been thrown in prison and would be declared an enemy. I am a council member in a small town and I see this type of behavior all the time. Someone will bellyache about something and I will tell them to come to a meeting and lodge a complaint or speak in front of the council and they won't come because they don't want to make anyone angry or "rock" the boat.
