His mom said, "I think that's the girl toy." And he said in that sarcastic voice only achievable by someone under six, "it costs the same for both toys." And that set off everyone on the headset. Rock on, kid with the hamburger happy meal with no pickles. Now there were quite a few more girls who asked for Skylander toys, but none of them had a snappy story like that. I get this whole episode. I get every last bit of it. I've mentioned time and time again that I take theatre classes at my college, and one thing I learned in Arts in Contemporary Society is this. You could put up a production and charge people to be a part of it, and you would still have a full cast and crew. Some people just want to perform, but I've seen such horrible stagefright at the auditions I've helped at. Most confident individual, but they just stand there or vomit when they perform in front of people. I saw one who got up there, cried for a few minutes and ran off, came back a minute later after heaving into a bucket we have for such occasions, and then got the lead part with incredible acting. I'm usually good with it due in part to my amazing capacity to ignore people and good sense of positive nervousness, but I haven't had a major part yet. Then again, I was once asked to get naked for a costume design class and did so without hesitation. You never know how people will react is a big thing, and some are just not good at performing in front of others. So that's why I get this. Stage fright isn't fear, it's just a human realizing exactly how alone they are in a single moment. I'm from small town Texas and currently studying as a theatre major in college. It is amazing to see how an accent can change by going two hours north. In order to get roles, I dial mine down a bit. Still there, but a bit more articulate. We were doing small plays for classes, and everyone's accent sounded like Rarity's. I walked in, smiled real big, and said in the accent I grew up in that they should be ashamed. The line was, "Chicken pluckin' hog kinken' shit!" And our professor didn't even look up from his notes at any of theirs, but he was all eyes at mine. At the critique, the professor made a specific mention for all the Cityfolk to learn how to speak rural. And so that day, I taught a department how to speak properly. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I can't do a damn thing with a high society vernacular. Actually, I have a fun story about that. Ok, so while the winter holiday was happening at our college, two girls I introduced the show to needed me to cat-sit. I agreed and when they came back, they gave me MLP Monopoly as payment. Got to say, those game pieces are better designed than the blindbags. Anyway, one friend had apparently discovered erotic fan fiction over the holidays and decided not to tell me. We played the game and she chose Rarity. Every time we were on the same square, she made the pieces mount Rarity. In jail, Rarity and the pieces not in play, being Dash, Twilight and AJ, took turns screwing each other until she rolled a double. My friend collected all the $1 bills in the game which she referred to as her "stripper money." Without a way to make change, we had to pay Rarity in rounded amounts. So that's how Rarity slept her way to the top and won the game. I have absolutely no reason to lie to any of you, even so this is simply too stupid to make up.
