KOMO - Seattle, WA : South Carolina prepping incentives for Boeing | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and Weath

For years the Boeing Co, has used the union to its advantage for every strike they have ever wanted or needed. They orchestrate a strike by offering rediculas contracts they know arent going to be accepted so they can catch up on an existing airplane program that is in trouble. Either with parts shortages or design problems, the union goes out on strike the company catches up, then they pay out huge "bonues" to basically make up for the lost wages the union has suffered. It was a win win situation for both sides and the workers were merely a pawn in the plan. Now the company has used the union as a whipping post for the newest program and its delays and design problems as an excuse to start another line in another state. The two month strike the company so "painfully" suffered by extorting the workers did nothing to help the current backlog of problems nor could it have prevented any of the ensuing problems suffered after the strike was over. The damage the union did to the new program was akin to throwing a deck chair off the titanic to help prevent it from sinking.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Kanye West ruins Taylor Swift\'s magic moment at VMAs | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Entertainm

So a person gets out of thier seat at a televised event and disrupts it, drinking was involved. Why wasnt he arrested and charged ? Oh wait.... it was another famous person with money. I truly would have liked to seen Taylor kick this piece of *#@* right in the crotch and taken the mic back to finish her acceptence speach. He would have gotten exactly what he deserved.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Police say syringes will help stop drunk driving | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and We

The headline reads "Police say syringes will help stop drunk driving" but the aim of blood draws is to lessen the chance of a trial, due to the refusal of a breath test, and this is stated in the article also. Im not condoning drunk driving by any means what so ever. But it sounds like blackmail to me, refuse the breathelizer and we'll forceable take the evidence we want. Yes, I could see a few lawsuit over this.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Importer tries to get around clove smoke ban | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Business

Ok I guess I still dont understand it, the government wants to ban "flavored" cigarettes. Because they are a lure to underage smokers? The government only has morals when it comes to the underaged? If a diet drug kills a few people the FDA is all over it and bans the drug. Tobacco kills 400,000 a year and they havent banned it yet? So I guess the tax money is more important to the government than peoples lives. Unless your underaged. So for any other smokers, feel free, light up, the goverment doesnt mind, its obvious they care more about the taxes they collect on the tobacco then they do about all the health care problems it causes.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : \'Nobody wants to breathe that\' | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

The people who own Cedar Grove have a excellent business plan for locating their stench generating plants. They choose a location near an already existing company that they can blame thier stench on and get away with creating what exist to be the most obnoxious odors imaginable. A few years back they located a plant between Marysville and Everett, then proceeded to blame the smell of thier business on the local sewage treatment plants. The odor they generate is absolutely horrible even on a mild day when it drifts through your neighborhood. Complaints fall on deaf ears no matter what agency you contact. If the Governor had to be subjected to this stench wafting through her backyard while she was trying to eat her caviar on the patio, this business would no longer exist anywhere near her property. Its very obvious where the stench eminates from, if theres a Cedar Grove Composting plant, theres a stench! Its time for government officials to step in and force these people to either clean up thier stench or put them out of business. I cannot possibly see where they come anywhere close to abiding by the Clean Air Act.
